I am determined to figure out my camera, so I present to you my weekend in review in picture form...we had a BUSY weekend...
Saturday was another cheer competition-the girls took 1st place in the Varsity division YAY! RAH! SHISH-KA-BOBS!(my lame attempt at rhyming)
Okay I have a long way to go-even though this is kinda out of focus-you can clearly see oldest bean
Still out of focus....
ahhh the ever glamorous glowing wolf eyes
Red eye- my camera never used to do red eye
After the cheer comp-we stopped at a lil hamburger place on Peoria(Brookside) Named Claud's-
It is clear I did not take these two pix-they are clear and in focus-lilest bean took them-she is always trying to show me up...
And now I return you to more out of focus blurry pix....
Sunday we went to the farm to celebrate Ena's Birthday-The farm where I grew up-it holds such special memories of making mud pies on the lone slab/piece of concrete sidewalk, playing in the hay barn, digging up potatoes in the garden, playing with my sisters and cousins-memories that I hope my city-fied beans will absorb...
Happy Birthday Ena-you are BEAUTIFUL!
Just look how simply farm life is...NO dishwasher and we ordered pizzas from Pizza Inn-OH the memories of Pizza Inn
The faloozie aka Rebecca aka my sis and papa george
My Uncle Tommy was there
The boys did some duck hunting
Chad brought clay pigeons and everyone had fun shooting some skeet
Oldest bean has form I tell ya...
The big boys and their toys...Pistols,AR15's,revolvers,glocks,shotguns,20 gauge semi autos-you name it they had it...and they were out to see who was a better shot...
My cousins Michelle and Renee showed up-ya see in the country you can squat and pee just about anywhere...i kid i kid...they were holding up the hay bails
So while the mens folk were seeing who's was bigger, better, faster, longer us girls went on a walk
We tresspassed...cuz that's how we roll
Arm N Arm is my cousin michelle and her son Zac
Oh lilest bean had a blast with these plants I forget the name geesh...
lilest bean and her cousin
Renee,Macy and Colin
We tresspassed some more up this GIANT mountain, okay okay BIG hill, pfffft slightly slanted ground
Phew we made it to the top
Just some shots around the farm
The doggers...Molly,ginger and freckles
It's the loch ness monster...oh wait it's just NOT Sawyer trying to get his duck decoys
My confession for today: We had a WONDERFUL weekend!!!! Thanks for sharing it with me

ReplyDeleteThanks for the review in photos. I love the old farmhouse. That house has so much character. Your pictures were beautiful and I love the sky line.
ReplyDeleteAh...country life. Nothing better in the world. The picture of the late evening sky is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are amazing...
ReplyDeleteI want to live there...
ReplyDeleteI think those are pussy willows. I also grew up going to my grandparents farm! Sometimes I loved it and other times I just "ew, what's that smell?"
ReplyDeleteWe did the cheer competitions for years...so much fun. She is multitalented I see. Lots of photos! Must have taken you forever to load! good job Georgie
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! And those farm shots are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job Georgie! Thanks for letting enjoy your weekend too.
ReplyDeleteShooting things - my boys favorite pastime!! I wish we had a farm to visit.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I seriously need to help you with your camera. You need to email the kind of camera you have.
ReplyDeleteI love farm life. My grandparents had a farm and it was just so much fun to play there.
It looks like you all had the BEST time this weekend. Memories...sweet memories!
The farm looks great! I'm jealous. Was that a Boxer I see there? I LOVE boxers! Best dogs in the world!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! I felt like I was there! Those were amazing! ANd I think the blur in the first one was cool because A was clear. Just pretend you meant to do it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pics!! Keep it up! And glad you had such a wonderful weekend. Mine sucked compared to yours! :o)
ReplyDeleteVery cute pictures, I love the ones from the country. I grew up on a farm and it is so peaceful. The cheer pics take me back to my high school days, I so loved competitions and football games and wrestling matches.
ReplyDeletelooks like an absolutely blissful weekend! and i love a girl who can shoot!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Ena! Georgie...looks like you photo skills are getting better. I think your next photo shoot will turn out splendidly, don't you?
ReplyDeleteWow, the photos got better and better. Looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been on a farm in who knows how long. Not many farms around these here parts.
I want to go to the farm!!!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are uber-fab...make me feel the chill and smell the farm (in a good way!)
ReplyDelete[And thank you for your kind comments on our current situation. So appreciated!]
WAY to go on the cheer AND shooting!!What a fun weekend you all had! I guess you eat the duck... does it taste like chicken??
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! And your pictures looked GREAT!
ReplyDeletecool, cake, pizza, shooting, trespassing, with the fam? What fun!
ReplyDeleteGlad it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI just got a new camera for Christmas and I had a really hard time with all the settings it has. Finally I just started using auto setting unless I had to do a close up or a night scene.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you and your family had a great time!! Woooo hooo FUN! Birthday, Pizza, shooting.. what else could you ask for?
We had a good weekend too. Those cheerleading photos make me nostalgic for my daughter's high school events...I didn't think I'd miss all of the hubub but I honestly do a little bit now that she's in college.
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss OK soooooo much! Love all of the farm pics.
ReplyDeleteThey are called Cattails and I love them. Those were great photos of the fluff flying all over. I had family in Nebraska and my great aunt used to have us kids dig up the potatoes - I guess kids, being lower to the ground, can dig potatoes easier because my Dad said it was always the kids job lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your cheerleader!!
It totally reminds me of my parents place - the skeet shooting and all! Looking at all your pictures makes me nostalgic for home!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics!
ReplyDeleteBabygirl1 was a cheerleader. I sooo loved those days!!
Stopping by from BATW (visiting other OK blogs). Those pictures of the sunset are beautiful, looks like a fun filled weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Georgie!!! I am very much photographically challenged. Have fun with the new camera!
ReplyDeleteYikes!
ReplyDeleteYour children were armed!
You must be a lot braver AND a lot better mom than I am.
Cheerleading, Claud's Hamburgers, visiting, more eating, shooting, wandering around. Sounds like a good time to me!
ReplyDeleteLooked to me like you were getting better with the camera as time went on.
You have some really great shots!
ReplyDeleteO oved cattails when I was a kid! I think your farm pictures were great!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful weekend you had and I don't know why you think your picture skills are weak. You did great!
ReplyDeleteNice pics - looks like you had a great weekend. I would trade with you in a heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteLater...
I especially love those pictures down by the water, looking through the reeds or whatever those things are!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I grew up on a farm too, but I don't know anyone with a real farm now. It would be cool to visit. We do have hay bales though, so I can pretend our ten acres is a farm:) Everyone looks like they are having a blast. (I found you from Jills blog).
ReplyDeleteum I think the plants are cattails right? Did someone already guess that? Sheesh you get sooooooo many comments I can't even read thru them all. That farm looks so downhome, so fun and so simple. Life should be like that, good thing you have that to share with the beans so they don't think it's all concrete, malls, ipods, cars and "stuff" like that. Great farm shots too - you did take those right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing you weekend with us! I loved the photos. It reminds me of where I grew up.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics! Looks like you had some great family fun : ) I LOVE Claud's!!! Thanks for letting me know about the nomination from Oklahoma Bloggers. I nominated your blog so I'm hoping your name is on the "board" as well.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you Friday. I am going to see you Friday right?!?
