Friday Fragments

It's Friday...already? Where did this week go?
_____________________________

I subbed this week...I survived...
_____________________________

I am addicted to those hidden object games...they make me feel smarter...
____________________________

It recently was discovered that varsity cheer is like a cult, I have never been in a cult before so this is all new to me...I am now a BOOSTER Club member...like, I paid my dues and everything...so if you see me at the airport in a sheet chanting Go-Go-Go Tigers...just know, it's all good...
____________________________

I had to shave my legs...it took 2 razors...
_____________________________

Whats up with adult acne? I am friggin 38, I did my time when I was teen...I swear, I will look at one of the beans and see a pimple, then the next morning I will wake up with a giant honker...is this like sympathy pimples?

Well, I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good

Well, I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
Taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow

I have been singing that song for 3 days now....
____________________________
I really really really want to see 17 Again...but I have a movie theater phobia...my palms get all sweaty and I get the shakes...but I have a really big DVD collection

_____________________________

Middle bean just got the new DSi and it has this feature that tells you 'how related' you are-it told him we were 9% related... so I got a red marker and drew freckles on my face...that bumped us up to 12% related...

____________________________

We have 6 more weeks of school...there are NO words...

My Confession for today: I just drank an entire pot of go-go juice

  1. I really need to shave too. But since I'm wearing pants today, that won't happen.

  2. oh girl, you're singing my tune. my skin is worse now than it was during high school. i am going to be 80 with sagging, wrinkly zits. my cheeks will look like boobs. old boobs.

swim team is a cult, too. so i don't know if we should be enemies now that we are in competing cults or be closer than ever since we have finally seen the one, true meaning of life... whether it be cheer or swim. just hand over your bank acct # to them now. don't go through the hassle of writing checks.

your eddie rabbit tune reminds me of that duet he sang with crystal gayle... just you and i... sharing our love forever... wasn't that them?

  3. I so love those hidden objects games! My MAC could not download many of them. But I am back in action with a PC! Watch out here I come peeps!! LOL! :)

  4. Oh and I am so dealing with pimples the last couple of days! What's up I wash my face with MK everyday!

    ReplyDelete
  5. "I had to shave my legs...it took 2 razors..."

    Be ashamed. I'm just sayin.

Oh and thanks for implanting Eddie Rabbit in my head. Now I'LL be singing it for days.

  6. Now go read my blog - yesterday I talked about you.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I feel your pain. Seriously..when will the acne end? I have found some secrets that keep it under control, but I wish it would go away all together!

    ReplyDelete
  8. The early part of the week seemed like it would never end. Now, like you, I wonder where the week went!

I like the pictures that you have to find the changes in. People magazine has them. That's always the first thing I turn to.

I went through a period when I had MORE zits than I had as a teenager. I was fortunate to not have problems then, but in my 30s...They aren't so bad now that I'm in my 40s.

I had miscounted the weeks we have left. I thought it was 7, but while I was in the cafeteria yesterday morning for bus duty, I realized we only have 6 weeks to go! Woo Hoo!!! That MADE my day!

Now I need to go teach sonnets to my babies. Have a great one!

  9. Weekend is here.. Yahoo... Happy weekends

    ReplyDelete
  10. I absolutely HATE to shave my legs!!!! My sister and I have this REALLY weird thing going-- we live in different states, but if I get a pimple on my chin.... I KNOW she has one too. If I get a pimple on my forehead, so does she. exactly same place. It never fails! And no, we're not even twins. Sometimes our conversation starts with ... "hey, do you have a zit by your right eye?"...

    ReplyDelete
  11. I had the same zit attack last week. People say I look so young, but really it's because of the acne. Have a great weekend and make plans to bring the kids down for a get away once school is over!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Seriously...I am 50 and I have crow's feet all around my eyes which is fine! Why do I still break out?!!!!
Enjoy your weekend and your last six weeks of freedom!

    ReplyDelete
  13. That's hilarious about the Dsi game saying you were only 9% related!!

I haven't heard that Eddie Rabbitt song in years....I used to LOVE him!! What ever happened to him? I may have to google him!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'll bite...what's a DSi?

And I'm suddenly very depressed. We're the same age, yet I'm chasing a three-year-old. No one tells you to do the math when you decide to wait so late to have kiddos.

Zits and wrinkles - the badge of the perimenopausal!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think our zit problem (feel one coming on my cheek grrr) is that we know summer is coming which means no more school and no place to shove the kids out the door to for three months.

I heard that Eddie Rabbit song just the other day on the radio and sang along with EVERY word... Andy made fun of me AGAIN for being 2 years older than him. Nice.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Too funny about the freckles! :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. If you figure out a way to rid yourself of adult acne, please be sure to pass it along. I really thought my face was supposed to clear up once I became an adult...apparently not : (

    ReplyDelete
  18. I always love your posts!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't go to the movies either. My OCD gets the better of me and I get super grossed out.

    ReplyDelete
  20. zits!!!!!! do we ever get rid of them?!!?!?!??!?!
and oh my gosh.....thanks for reminding me.....i looked at my legs the other day......let's just say it has been a looooooong winter and i sure hope 2 razors will do it!!!!!!
so let's see how many days i have that song in my head.....thanks!!!!:0)
hope you have a great weekend!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh women! I actually get intrigued in reading comments than to make my own. I had a good snort reading Deb's comments there and then about the shaving stuff... Oh women! I am one of 'em!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ew I hate Movie Theaters too....you read about my foot story, right?? If you didn't I'll send you the link. Ugh. Of course I love the popcorn and can't stay away!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love hidden object games too. I also want to see that movie.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I hardly ever shave.
I love hidden object games too, I could play for hours.
And I'm SOOO with you on the zit thing. I'm so sick of it. If I have to get wrinkly, can't we do away with the zits???

    ReplyDelete
  25. TWO razors? I should shave, but for what? Not like I'm getting laid this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hum? Shave? Guess I'd better get to it.

I still get a few pimples but it has calmed down quite a bit.

I also talked about you on my recent post!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Teachers must adore summer like nobody else...well, actually like kids!

    ReplyDelete
  28. 2 razors, congratulations! i usually need a 10 pack!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Only six more weeks!!! Holy cow:) I am going to have to count what we have, I think about 11 (ish)

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wow when yous say fragments you mean fragments! Have a great weekend and hope you grow out of puberty soon!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Adult acne sucks. And I have a secret hankering to go see 17 Again. It looks cute.

    ReplyDelete
  32. TMI alert.

I have an IUD for menorrhagia and the acne was OUT. OF. COntrol. Dr. put me on something that is totally working. Holler if you want to know the name of it??

    ReplyDelete
  33. Two razers? That's why you have to use and electric one first, LOL. Been there, Sista! Gotta love a man who doesn't mind the winter-hairy legs. (Mr.4444 says, "At least they're not picky!") Kendall's at that movie as we speak. I'll let you know how she likes it :)

    Sorry about the zits....

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well am I ever glad to see you! It took me two razors Tuesday night! LOL! And I don't want to make you cry, but I'm 43 and I've been trying to say bye bye blackheads for years! lol! I had clear fair skin as a teen. I guess this is some kind of dirty rotten payback!

I'm big on the in-home movie experience too...especially since it costs about $100 for a family of four to go to the movie theater these days!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am addicted to those "what's different" pictures in the back of magazines lately. So silly, but I have just enough OCD to HAVE to figure them out!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Seriously? Afraid of movie theaters? I have never heard of this. Maybe we are NOT long lost sisters after all.

Go to www.theoilcleansingmethod.com and try this out. I use sunflower and castor oil. Yes, it will go against everything you have ever believed to be true about skincare, but I swear, my skin has never looked better. It is no longer oily and I haven't had a blemish in ages. So many friends of mine are now using it and are raving! One woman had chronic adult acne and she is thrilled with how much her face has cleared up!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh pimples. Is it not enough that stress causes me to break out in hives? Must I endure acne, worse than what I had back in the day in my 30'S?? I tell you, it just ain't fair.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I am 40 and keep getting these break outs on my cheeks. I can't figure it out. I've never had them before! Totally hear you there!

I just popped over from SITs! Have a great weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Georgie, I just love reading your blog, you make me laugh- can't wait to meet you next month!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Why do you have a movie theater phobia? I have never heard of one having that before.

I am right there with ya on the pimples! I seem to get more now than I did in highschool. WTF

I still am keeping my winter coat on, no shaving yet! :)

    ReplyDelete
  41. I LOVE those hidden object games!! Too funny!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love that Eddie Rabbit song. I want to see that movie 17 again too! But I don't know who I'll go with, because my friend has a movie theater phobia as well. Oh and I saw you had the Love Dare thing, Hubby and I have to watch that movie. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and thanks for your sweet comments. Have a great weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 2 razors!!! I hope you saved before you subbed for the children!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. The shaving. I did it this week too. It was ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Must be something in the air, I can't stop breaking out for the life of me, no matter what I try! Even had my Dad send me some Retin A (the real stuff) that you can get without an rx in Mexico... nope... didn't work.
    Two razors???? LOL just kidding.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm SO glad I am not the only one who doesn't like to shave in the winter time! Having to shave is the only thing I don't like about the summer time! ugh.

Oh, and I am right there with you on the zits...too bad you just missed my clinique give away for that...

    ReplyDelete
  47. That is very odd about the movie theatre phobia I feel more comfortable at home as well but you must truly have it bad

    ReplyDelete
  48. You just crack me up!! Drawing freckles on his face...lololol!!! I am with you on the adult acne. It is never ending I guess!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. not sure how long you have had it, but LOVE the makeover... as for puberty and acne I dont miss it....

    ReplyDelete
  50. Leg shaving is my least favorite part of warm weather!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I read that adult acne is worse with this economy. Isn't that something?
    I subbed this week too.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Courtney got the new DSi the day it came out. She LOVES it! It really has some great features.

I really struggled with adult acne for years. But, ever since I started using what Dr. Oz said to use I've rarely had breakouts. If I do, it will be ONE pimple around that time of the month!
I use the Oil of Olay Foaming cleanser for sensitive skin. And, the Oil of Olay Regenerist moisturizer. And, at night I use Alpha-Hydroxy. It works!!!

I love going to the movies!! LOVE IT!! Remind me tell about a freaky thing that happened one time at the movies. Ha! Oh, wait.... that really is something I could blog about.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Ya, I don't shave much either..My theory is: who the hell cares if I'm amazon woman...well except for my gyno !!! :)
anyway, great blog and am glad that you stopped by ..now you've got yourself a stalker !!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  54. Ok, first, don't read Dawn's theater post or it might make you more phobic. It's all good as long as you don't touch anything or bring your sanitizer. ;)

Girl, I am 41 and still get the zits when I have my visitor.

And, I figure I shave twice as much in the summer, winter (or winter like weather) is for a little down-time...ya only have to shave half as much. LOL (I'm sure hubby appreciates my logic...oh well...hehe)

    ReplyDelete
  55. I've done my share of subbing... I feel ya! Looking forward to the Tulsa Meet up

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh, that school is out in six weeks gave me a stomach ache..think I'll go back to bed..:):)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Cute Blog. I like your Friday Fragments idea very cute!

    ReplyDelete
  58. 17 again! GO SEE IT!! GET OUT THERE GEORGIE!! It's well worth it. Try not to feel too Cougar-like over that Zack Efron kid (even tho it's really hard).

    ReplyDelete
  59. Those are great! I love the reason for a big DVD collection...and the leg shaving bit...I can relate to both :)

    ReplyDelete
  60. about the acne? I just turned 38 myself and it's never been worse. This past year I said the same things - I never had it this bad when I was a teenager! I have no answers for ya - sorry!
