Boomer Sooner

Only a true Sooner fan would sit in pouring down rain for a game and there was over 84,000 of true fans Saturday...

That's Mona up there-you will hear more about her on Tuesday but notice the windshield and just how far I can see out of it. It rained and rained and we laughed and laughed. I instructed everyone to bring a change of clothes, maybe a towel and blanket wouldn't be a bad idea. Of course Reese said 'Real men don't need a change of clothes' okay buddy it's your crotch rot not mine...

To say we got wet would be an understatment, I did try and prepare the best way I knew how, I got everyone 50 cent ponchos-because I'm a big spender...Here I am sporting mine and let me tell you it was thinner than a trash sack-Jess refused to wear hers. Abby(above) had her dad buy her an exspensive one $3.33 from wal*mart-she stayed dry...

The OU campus is really a beautiful site to behold-I was in awe-this is the Pride of Oklahoma marching band entering the student gates

A few pics inside the stadium

We had great views-

Look at all that crimson

My lil drowned rat who now has brown hair and notice how Eric is so totally rockin his 50cent poncho-I swear saran wrap would have been better

After the game I was so soaking wet that as soon as I got back to the truck I stripped-I would like to aologize to anyone who passed our truck and were flashed-after 3 kids modesty is a thing of the past.

We did stop at the local 7-11 so Eric could change and right about this time Reese was wishin 'he wasn't a REAL man' Abby came through for him though, guess 'real' men aren't to proud to cross dress-she loaned him some girls soffee shorts and her takin care of bidness shirt

Saggy drawers

Eric only brought an extra pair of shorts and Jess had to borrow a pair of Abby's shorts-NO ONE EVER LISTENS TO MAMA!

to see what else I had to say...

I have to stop and THANK Razor Gator for helping to make this OU Sooner game possible-despite the rain we had a smashing good time! We were given 3 free tickets and I purchased 2 more(at a VERY fair and reasonable price) so the whole fam could attend-our seats were only 7 rows apart and I have NEVER had an online transaction that went so smooth-our tix arrived the next day after I ordered them-now that's FAST! We will definately be useing Razor Gator for all our future events.

My confession for today: BA vs BTW tonight PLEASE Lord, spare us the rain

  15. You know why red is the color of OU don't you? It's from the blood leaking out of all the bullet wounds they got from us Texans:D

  20. Yep...been there, done that (in Tuscaloosa, of course.) We've learned to always go prepared with the good ponchos. Several years ago, it came an unexpected MONSOON right before the Bama-Arkansas game. The game was delayed for something like 45 minutes while we got SOAKED. No lie, 6 hours later, John was able to wring his socks out. On the way home, I pulled off the shorts. Fortunately, I had a blanket I could cover with. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. I LUV some college football!!!
