It's a story...

Of a sometime lovely lady
who was bringing up 3 very lovely kids
one of them, had hair of gold, like her mother
then she whacked it offff with pinking shears
and sent her mom in to tears
(sung in tune to the brady bunch theme song)

Okay she didn't whack it all off just one side where she thought she needed to have bangs to fit in, peer pressure and all...

But this post isn't about children giving themselves hair cuts, peer pressure or the fact I I gave up drinking beer and have GAINED weight...

Since my last post I have been reading blogs and catching up with everyone, kinda like Stella I was getting my groove back in the process of all that I joined a site called Blog Engage the site is from the creative genius Brian I joined because to be honest I don't like to be left out of anything, when this explodes and it will, I want to be able to say 'me and BE go way way back' cause I'm all like a 10 year old maturity wise.

The premise behind Blog Engage-I will try and put it simply and not muck it up, you submit your/a blog post that goes in queue and it rolls around to the main page, others visit your blog, vote on BE and interact(a voting based blog directory)-it's a member driven site, it's SOCIAL. The site(as with any site) is only as good as it's members and from what I can tell these members got it going on PLUS they have a bonus, the owner Brain is a blogger and very involved in the success of the site and there's a forum OH you gotta check out the forum-lots of great info their. Really there are so many easy functions you will have to visit and check everything out and see if it is something that you or your blog could benefit from.

I learned a few things when I stepped out of my blogspot comfort zone, like that my comment box/area isn't very friendly to all blogger platforms and that a lot of people are firm believers in a new(well new to me) rage called Do Follow which I am still not 100% I understand but you know me and not wanting to be left out...because I honestly thought 'Do Follow' meant you add that lil DF button on my sidebar and that means 'I Do Follow' I had no idea I had to muck around with code...

So with a little help from my new friend Brian-whom I promised not to stalk like Sandra Bullock in All About Steve and force him to wear a porno mustache as a desguise
I was able to make my comment box more user friendly for other blogging platforms-meaning when you go to leave a comment and have a non blogger hosted blog you can now input your name and EARL-as my mom calls em url

My confession for today: Abby has been barfing since 3am pray it's not the flu or swine flu

  7. You lost me after the beer. No idea if my comment box is unfriendly. Could be why I don't get a lot of comments. Too early in the am to think about fixing it. Have a great Monday!

Hope Abby quits barfing real soon!!

  9. Hope Abby is okay and it's nothing with the word 'flu' in it. I don't require word verification in my blog comments which I think is friendlier; actually, I've noticed of late that most blogs I follow don't have it on either.
Am off to check out your recommendation. Take care.

  10. oh the dreaded let's cut our own hair issue
i hate when that happens and all you can do is cut it shorter and say the "chemo" treatments are working. Well I have a sick sense of humor too!
glad you have found another social network to interact with. we can become quite set in our ways so that always helps. and swine flu....I pray not!

  11. Hi Georgie,

Thanks so much for the kind words. It seems we have a pretty positive response from your reader that’s great. Amazing blog you have managed to create here. It’s truly unique I simply love it.

It was no problem what so ever helping you create a do follow blog but you have to remember it’s not all blogging is about. I comment on blogs if they are do follow or not. Trust me if people like your content they will comment.

Best of luck we’ll see you over at the community

  22. I honestly don't think I would like that site-I don't think I could handle the pressure of my blog being "rated." It does sound like a great idea for those not afraid to get into the fray, though.
