I am playing along with SupahMommy this week.

  1. Sorry gotta Side with Hubby on this one! You never heard of the Electronics and Rice? I thought it was just an African thing. The Rice soaks up the water. But you have to do it quickly, and a bowl works better. Large grain White Rice works the best!

  2. We knew some people who thought they had squirrels or raccoons in their attic and found out that it was neither...they had about 300 bats in their attic. I told Hubs I would have just packed up and moved! That would have freaked me out! I much prefer the squirrels!

  12. Love you too! But your comment thingie ALWAYS make me click it at least 2 times. I think it does it just to piss me off. It says there was an error. Ugh!

I take that back. It says "Your request could not be processed". And how do I know this? because it JUST did it.

  13. I love your post its!! :) You probably made the meter guy's day!! :)

  14. Yeah for Abby, she is rollin on her own now. So not ready for that time with my own kids.

Yeah, my kids think I am so un-cool too! Especially my tweeny daughter....maybe it's because I love to yell out the window when I drop her off at school Bye Honey, I Love You! Yeah I know she hates it, and I only do it on special occasions now. Like when she is mean to me the night before :)

Awesome on the rice and phone trick. I have heard of doing that but never knew if it actually worked.

I bet that meter reader posted a similar status on his Facebook Page :)

  16. Cool post its - love them all. Funny timing on the shower & meter reader.

I moderate my comments lately - because I have been getting tons of "anonymous" comments lately. Like "great stuff man - keep it coming." So instead of letting those through I can just delete them before hand. But I don't use the word verification.

    Have a great day!

  39. I love this post, it's the cutest!!
One of my sons was a meter reader for 6 years and the stories he came home with were something else. He has a naked woman story in there somewhere. lol.

  40. Stupid squirrels and their loud radios.

And that is classic about the meter reader ... I bet that was the highlight of his day. (or lowlight ... depending on the angle. HAHA!)

    Thanks for the visit.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm going to write down your book suggestion.

No one told me about the rice until a few days AFTER my phone went in the toilet. No help then.

    New follower here.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love these post-it posts!
Yes, I remember fondly your moment with the meter reader. I think it's funny that you're even aware of him. I don't think I've ever seen anyone read my meter.

    Please do tape hubby snoring.

I hope he dropped the phone before he peed.

    Justine :o )

  43. The note to Abby almost made me cry.

My husband is a snorer, too. Maybe we should create a snoring blog like that lady in England who records her husband's funny sleep talk.

    We love you back!
    :-)

    I like Post It Tuesdays.

  46. I'm watching Little Couple on TLC....do you think they eat less than a normal sized person? I don't think I'd like being a little person.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I appreciate you too and your comments! You make my day.

My mom was un-cool for awhile too. I just woke up one day and she had it written on her forehead with BLACK permnant marker. Black was so last season! :)

  48. Welp I'm headed to bed. I hope your snow goes away fast. It's suppose to snow here Thursday night.

    ReplyDelete
  49. So? Are you ready for the ice and snow? Know where to find any fire wood in Tulsa?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ha - these were all great!
When I first moved into my house, I didn't realize that the sheer blinds were totally invisible at night when I have lights on in my bedroom. For the first few months, I fully changed in front of the windows.
I suspect this is why my neighbors have avoided me from day one.

I totally cried when we bought my son his first car and he was driving home behind me. It was so hard to see him get this freedom.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Meter Guy....*wink, wink* He wasn't the fb friend you lost, was he? haha

This is for you! ~ I found it on fb. Just saying, I'm not that clever!

Oklahoma is changing the words to the State Song. It now goes like this: SNOW…….klahoma Where the cold front's sweepin' down the plain And the piles of sleet, beneath your feet Follow right behind the freezing rain. SNOW…….klahoma Ev'ry night my honey lamb and I Travel home from work and hope some jerk Doesn’t wreck our car passing by!

    Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Too funny!!
    Luv U too!!
I'm ready for the snow myself, but not for all the CRAZIIEESSSS
