Where has this year gone? anyone? There are 4 months of 2010 left, now that school has started and I am now working mid-mornings AND evenings these next few months will fly by(at least for me)...Here is a little peak of my countdown...
In 29 days my baby will be thhhhhirrrrrteen-*tears*
It is 61 days until Halloween-so enjoy carving the pumpkins or in my case drilling holes in them
Daylight savings time begins in 68 days-The days get shorter and we gain an hour of sleep
My oldest child will be sevvvvennnnteen in 79 days-*sigh*
It is 86 days until Thanksgiving-gobble gobble
In 93 days my wonderful husband will be 45-Love you babe
In 109 days this goofball will be 40-*ugh*
It is 116 days until Christmas-ahhh the Holidays
A New Year begins in 123 days-2011 sounds so futuristic
*disclaimer* I in no way shape or form meant to leave out any ones specific special day or holiday-it took me 3 hours to come up with this post-Oh I had another post ready to go, it is the rants and ravings of a madwoman just not sure I wanna hit publish...
So what does YOUR countdown look like for the remainder of 2010?
My Confession for today: Life is Good...Very Good...

ReplyDeleteAlan...You just made my day! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that depressing dose of reality. Just when I was thinking I was all caught up and in fine shape, too.
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew where the time went or at LEAST how to slow it down!
ReplyDelete❤
and SSS?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Brilliant.. Loved reading this post.. I didn't realize that we got just 4 months until happy New Year.. 4 months.. that means.. In 110 days I'll be seeing my girl after 8 freaking months (Long distance relationship sucks).
ReplyDeleteGo on you can do it! Hit the publish .... You can do it!
@The Mother-I know right! sorry, misery and company LOL
ReplyDelete@Rita-the SSS will be very different this year
@Marilyn-when you figure out how to slow it down can you let me know please...
@A.K. Thanks and so happy you will get to see your girl soon!
There are 7 days until my first colonoscopy. There--does that make you feel better?? Ahh, the joys of getting old....
ReplyDeleteJust ICK! I so didn't need to know how close Christmas is! Thanks. ;)
ReplyDeleteum.....you TOTALLY forgot.......30 days until the Tulsa State Fair!!! :)hehe!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd so sad for you - about your babies getting older :(
OMFG!!!!!!OMG!!!!! GEORGIE!!!!!! There's a plane crashing right behind you!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCountdown? Hhmm... nothing happening in my neck of the woods.
But I was thinkin' about the Secret Santa thing... Doing it? Not? What?
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing with Nadine. Wouldn't blame you if you skipped it this year : -)
ReplyDeleteRight now, I'm just basking in the glow of school starting and the fact that being productive is even an option. Pulling a Scarlett and worrying about all that stuff you mentioned above tomorrow.
Or maybe next week.
Girl I WANT to read your rantings and ravings!!
ReplyDeleteCountdown: two days until my chickies track off from their first nine weeks of school.
That's it. That's all the farther ahead I can think right now!
I was fine until you got to Christmas. Don't tell me that!
ReplyDeleteHope you're liking the job so far!
Oh my word! I don't think I was ready to acknowledge that Christmas and Thanksgiving is so close!
ReplyDeleteWhat a reality check you have here my dear!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! My oldest will be 18 in 100 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That just means I am getting older...LOL Life is wonderful, isn't it? I would much rather celebrate LIFE then NOT, right? Again this is a great post!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your countdown post today. Glad to see great shots of you and family. You have a great and nice looking group. I try not to count down. At my age, it would be easy to do. I am thankful for just another day.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I'm enjoying myself here!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back!
Thanks for sharing,
gabriele
love the post...my daughter turned 15 yesterday i understand the tears.
ReplyDeleteI am on a countdown until my BFF and her fam move (hopefully) back to the US from Guam. And if not back to the US, a nice European country that me and my fam would like to visit will be good enough!
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to think about it. Christmas is that close???
ReplyDeleteLook at all the milestones that you have to look forward to!
That goofball is really lovely!
ReplyDeleteWe like to have many-a-carved-pumpkin here. Can't wait until Halloween!
At my age, the days, weeks and months are flying by, so I'd prefer not to count down to any particular one!
ReplyDeleteSounds like life is very good! I'll be 40 in just 18 days. Not happy about that but I'm trying to embrace it!
ReplyDeleteI had not thought about there only being four months left in the year! Ouch! I am not ready for all that comes with these four months...
ReplyDeleteThis year went by way too fast.
ReplyDeleteIn 5472 hours, my son will be legal in all states and the District of Columbia.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminder! Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!
What the heck happened to the last 20 years???
ps - thats 228 days, if you must know and WAY to soon to have a 21 year old!
ReplyDeleteYikes!! Not sure I needed to know how little time I have left in the year.
ReplyDeleteTotally going to drill holes in my pumpkin this year. That looks neat!
Very funny--can't believe you did all that counting. Oh gosh--somethings are getting too close.
ReplyDeleteMelinda
how many days until my menopause is over?
ReplyDeletethanks for doing all the counting!!
Thanks for reminding me that I'm one year closer to dying.
ReplyDeleteMy countdown honestly consists of the following:
ReplyDeleteGet through halloween. Get through Thanksgiving. Hope to survive Christmas. Hope I make it to New Year's. Survive flu season without bronchitis or pneumonia, and just get through winter period......exciting!
YIKES!!!! Time is flying. I guess in the back of my mind I knew the holidays are rapidly approaching. Guess I have been hiding my head in the sand. Now I feel pressure coming on. Oh well, you are right, life is good. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteI like the polka dot pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteI count the days until my daughter comes home for Christmas from her freshman year at college :o) ...and I don't think I've ever seen anyone drill holes in a pumpkin like that!
ReplyDeleteBitch- TOTALLY drilling holes in my pumpkin this year!!!! WAY safer for me to use a power tool than that huge carving knife... I think anyway!!!
ReplyDeleteYour girls are gorgeous chick. My youngest turned 3 in May and my oldest turned 6 in June... :(
I don't wanna do a countdown because I'm stressed out enough, lol! Soooo much to do before we put this year to bed. All I know is that I'm going to finish it stronger and better than I started it!!!! And I will NOT be sad to see this year gone, even though we was a new beginning for me. It was just one of "those" years....
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a lot to look forward to and that makes me very, very happy!
YIKES! Exciting times are ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'll think I'll just go one day at a time.
;-)
I just ordered part of my Halloween costume tonight, and I have started planning for my cookie swap! Ack!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's funny that you had another post ready to go, and then you didn't hit "publish." I've been ranting and raving myself on a post, and am debating if it's worth it. How many people will I piss off by publishing it...sigh...damn PMS!
ReplyDeleteIDK if I have a count down per se.......
ReplyDeleteI do know that I am trying to be more positive about my life:D
I enjoyed this post.....
Except for that crazy looking chic in the striped yellow shirt......
WTH?
:P
Georgia,
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the mathematician! I think I'm going to bust all my clocks and rip up all my calenders now. Do you think that will stop time? Probably not!:)
Have a great day!
Enjoy every minute.
Oh, and did you know that after you turn 40 you start counting backwards?!:)(that would make me thirty-eight;))
The only countdown clock I had expired Saturday - I look forward to the first home football game of the year more than pretty much anything.
ReplyDeleteMy brother is getting married in Texas on 10/10/10 - so I guess that's what is up next.
i can't believe the year is coming to the fastest part when it'll fly by.
ReplyDeleteadore the pumpkin!!!
happy 13 to your daughter. :)
I better check my calendar, because I had NO idea it was 2010.....yikes! =)
ReplyDeleteGah. I am counting down to 40, too. I am hoping there will be less of me by then!
