Pumpkins

I won't have pics of the beans till after school BUT I thought I would show you our pumpkins. Keep in mind we don't use templates and we let the beans carve their own-yes they handle knives

This is middle beans grey pumpkin/gord

Next we have oldest beans initial pumpkin-yes I know she didn't do a very good job cleaning out the guts-but I think it will look cool once lit up tonight-provided it doesn't catch far
Lilest bean did two pumpkins I don't know if this is uno, dos',tres'quatro or cinco
Her Larger pumpkin with the baby pumpkins
Now for my crowing glory-the whole reason I LOVE Halloween is so I can do this:
I have seen so many cute and creative pumpkins this week-mine don't even rank BUT they are our pumpkins
My confession for today: Cutting the bottom out of pumpkins makes for easier lighting HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

That's a great idea to cut out the bottom, I'll remember that for next year. (I hope)

  6. Ok, I have to ask...Is middle beans pumpkin a Poke'mon pumpkin?
Because Wy's looks like that and I asked if it was a Red Cross pumpkin.
He gave me the stink eye and said no, Poke'mon.
I love your pumpkin, and because I'm trashy, I do mine that way but put COLORED xmas lights in it. "Holiday decor."

  10. The whitish gourd that your bean carved is actually really cool looking, but I have to admit, the polka dot one is awesome too! I may be copying next year! Blessings,

  12. Good for you!!! My inner Martha Stewart had a hard time letting go of templates so the boys could express themselves. They liked their own designs much better than the fancy carvings. Great Pumpkins!

  14. Very cute pumpkins. We cleaned ours out, but when we went to carve them 2 days later they were moldy. Dang Florida heat. So no carving this year for us.
