So today is my sisters(the faloozie) 37th Birthday and this is where I go hee hee haw haw LOL points my fingers and says "Gee your as old as I am for 10 DAYS!"
See when we were growing up she used to tease me and say things like "your NOT the oldest anymore HA HA" or "I am the same age as you are HA HA" she would cackle in that sisterly voice and I would think to myself gee MOM didn't they have birth control back then... i kid i kid...sorta
Here are some things you have to look forward to while being 37
You get to move up to the SUPER maxi pads
Your mind starts going at an alarming rate
You wonder around the grocery store knowing you are fogetting something really important(prolly those SUPER sized maxi pads)
Rolling out of bed isn't as easy as it was yesterday
Those fine lines are NO longer fine lines they be crows feets
Dimples anywhere on your body OTHER than your face are not cute
For the next 10 days if we played quarters it would be a tie
Sean Connery is more appealing than Joe Jonas
The beans look older not you
You consider a compass for the dash of your car
You don't know what time Whataburger closes anymore
A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer 'pretty good stuff'
You convince yourself that Granny panties are making a come-back
Victoria doesn't know YOUR Secret-if she did you could shop there
Oh theres more but I wouldn't wanna spoil anything for ya...
Happy Birthday Becks I Love you and I don't know what I would do without you-you are always there for me-I know if my phone rings around 1:30 it is you calling on your lunch break just to chit chat...
I am so Blessed to have you as my sister-every sister should be so lucky

ReplyDeleteOh you made me so mad!!! You think you know everything. Well I'm here to tell you that there are NO DOWNSIDES to being 37, or 38, or even 40!!! Those "wrinkles"? They turn into craters and the dimples turn into something that looks like dough rising, then falling. And your memory? HA! Wait til you don't know what the words mean that are being spoken to you by all those youthful 38 year olds in the social security office!

You're so lucky to have a sister you have such a great relationship with, I always wished I had a sister. And, I am 38 myself, and I'll tell you, thank goodness I read posts like this so I know that losing my mind is apparently normal for this age. :-P

ReplyDeleteCherish every moment you spend together as sisters. Since I lost one of mine 4 years ago, my life has never been the same. I miss her every single day. Sisters can be annoying growing up, but as adults they are truly our best friends....
