Monday Madness

Here's the dealio...I.Am.Sick.I.Sound.Like.A.Man.Sick...

The weathermen are forcasting sleet, freezing rain and ice-go turn on the weather channel, I'll wait...taps foot...waits...

See Oklahoma, see all the pink...in '07 we lost power for 4 days due to ice...we all lived in the den by candle light, I drank wine and we played charades...it was fun For.ONE.Day...

So if you don't hear from me I am either

1.In my toasty bed trying to get over this crud I have

2.Without power, lounging in the den by the fireplace, drinking wine and playing charades trying to get over this crud

3. Tied up bound and gagged because the beanie weenees went all Children of the Corn on me trying to get over this crud
------------------------------------

Friday Night was the bloggy get-ta-gether-it was wonderful to meet everyone and put faces with bloggy names-here are a couple pics from the evening (forgive me for not name linking-I can barely keep my hayud held up)

---------------------------------------
My Mom started a blog-she is writing her story about her grandparents, her mom and dad and about being the youngest of 19 siblings-it's good stuff...

------------------------------------

Middle bean chewed up my mouse pad so I am now useing a DVD for a mousepad-IT.SUCKS!
-----------------------------------

Thursday will be my 1 yr bloggy anniversary...provided I haven't lost power I will be having a special giveaway that day to CELEBRATE!!!!

----------------------------------

My bestie is bringing me Tortilla soup today-I.LOVE.Tortilla.Soup

---------------------------------

Lastly but not least  Today in Idabel Oklahoma presented me with this lil beauty

Yep I am Mrs. Congeniality-I ♥ this blog not just because they gave me this BEAUTIFUL sash but because they are FUNNY and since the economy is so bad they are taking orders for weed...
My confession for today: Did I mention middle bean chewed up my mousepad?

  1. Get well! And use a magazine for mousepad until you can get a new one - it'll do in a pinch!

  2. It's blowing our way tomorrow. Would it be too much to %$#@ ask that Oldest gets a full week of education this year!?

He and I were both down with bronchitis for the last week and change. I highly recommend a steriod shot and codeine-based cough medicine.

You won't care if the power goes out.

  3. Yikes! Get better soon. What better time to have a storm blow through? I wonder if we're going to get it...

  6. I used to never use a mouse pad. You can do without. LOL! But, a magazine is a good idea.

I'm sorry you are feeling bad. That just sucks.
Maybe the tortilla soup will do the trick.

You definitely deserve the congeniality award. You worked hard visiting all those OK blogs that were nominated for awards. Way to go!

I'm enjoying reading your moms story. :)

Those Idabel girls and their weed ARE FUNNY!

Thanks for coming Friday night. It would have NOT been the same without you. ;-)

And I'm with Tiffany, how did he chew up a mouse pad? Is he lacking something in his diet or what?

  8. Ok, I picturing a small child chewing on a square spongy pad and it's just not right. Is it some type of a nervous habbit, because hey, that I get, I bite my nails, but chewing the mouse pad?
Oh well, I guess it's better than eating kittens!

    Congrats on all your recognition!

  38. Hope you feel well soon!
I lived in T-town when the ice storm happened. We were without power for 10 days. The first day we did the wine and well more wine by the fireplace in the den but that got old quick! Thankfully we had friends with power and were able stay there. Hope this is a lighter storm without blackouts :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I hope you feel better soon. And that you don't get iced in. Ah the midwest. How I do not miss the icy winter. It always seemed as though it got cold in October and never really thawed until May. Or June. Congrats on your lovely sash! (and how old is middle bean again?)

  40. Hope you feel better soon. Planning for the unforseen, laundry done(check), pantry full(check), firewood(somewhat check, neighboors have plenty) shows how much we use it, bags packed in case we have to go to in-laws (check). Wish I could have been there Friday, hopefully next time. Congratulations on your award.
