Friday Fragments

It's finally Friday, I'm free again, I got my motor running for a fun weekend and to kick it off is Friday Fragments

  • We have been house hunting-I enjoy house hunting-I know what I want-besides 4-5 bedrooms at least 2 1/2 baths the main thing is a POOL, Eric and I are not seeing eye to eye on this....it's time to break out the big guns...yanno my heels...I can wear one so we are eye level and beat him into submission with the other...what? I am so not above Physical abuse...it can be very effective...or so I hear...

  • Kings of Leon-I♥ this band and I ♥ the song, Use Somebody

  • My Daddy could use your thoughts and prayers-they found a small mass on his lungs-the type of Cancer he had removed then underwent chemo for last year, IF it spreads...it's to your lungs, he has a scan scheduled for Monday, to determine what the mass is-Please keep him in your thoughts...

  • I have nosey childrens-I have declared this house a 'Need to know' Zone...I will decide IF you need to know...seriously you know it's bad when your taking a shower and throw back the curtian grab a towel and see your youngest child and your dog sitting on the toilet, scaring the bejeezies out of you waiting for you to get out...yes I locked the door...she picked the lock!

  • Eric brought me home a Black Diamond Watermelon-My very most favorite...Dear colon: I am sorry...my colon hates me right now

  • I talked to my cousin Amy(who I reconnected with on FB) on the phone the other night, we haven't talked in probably over 25 yrs or better, but you would never know it, my mom is planning a lil family get together in Oct and I am so excited to see my cousins Amy,Shirl,Cindy and Lee and their families...

  • Dear Cox Cable: I am about to break up with you, $45 for your so called high speed internet...pffft $40 for a landline with NO long distance pffft, I have been a customer since 1990-it's to early for math BUT I know that's a REALLY long time...I need suggestions-who does everyone use? I am considering AT&T

  • In the next month I will be gearing up for the Secret Santa Soiree...I.Will.Need.Help anyone wanna offer their time and deal with me for 3 months, before I start physically calling you out on my blog and dropping hints *cough* AMYBO *cough* I may need 2 wonderful helpers this year *cough* DEB *cough*

  • Reese just quit football...I am sad for him...sad that he is the youngest and smallest and didn't feel like he measured up against the other boys in his grade...9th grade is such a pivotal time, I remember it well...

My confession for today: I finally got caught up on this season of True Blood...WOW just WOW

  2. Love Love Love Trueblood!!!
I have no advice for the Att Cox thing...I dumped att years ago. But it was over long distance.
I don't even shut the bathroom door anymore...what's the point? It's just me and Roy.

  4. Door? Locks? Are you kidding me? I have just given up trying, really. I would recommend the same for you, ha ha ha.

I like the whole heels image; I might have to buy a pair simply to get my point across a time or two.

So sorry to hear about the worries with your dad; I will send up good thoughts for him and his scan.

And just what is a Black Diamond Watermelon?

  5. Praying for your Dad. And, that's very cool that you reconnected with your cousin!

    Have a fantastic weekend!

  6. It is so awesome that you got to connect with your cousin! One of my very dearest friends from college called me today and I can't wait to talk to her!

Good luck with the house hunting. I don't hit my husband over the head with mine. I do something entirely different with them, and I usually get my way : ) Cause you know, my way is definitely the right way! What do boys know? : )

  7. Sending your father many positive thoughts.

Your first entry cracked me up.

Also, I was looking at your profile and I think "I blog therefore I am" will be my new mantra. It used to be "I'm pink therefore I'm Spam", but I like yours better.

  10. Thanks for stopping by for my Friday's Fragments! I think you are right - we are twins separate at birth - Tiffany's, Crate and Barrel, Cheesecake Factory - fun!

I had to laugh at several of your items here - picking the lock - if that doesn't beat all! Kids.

We have Comcast Cable and it is no better. Our bill it through the roof and it's highway robbery, really. So is our electricity - it's not pretty!

I'm going to follow you and add your button to my blog - I like your style! Have a wonderful weekend.

  11. I'll keep you and your dad in my thoughts and hope for a positive outcome in the scan!

I'm a tiny bit taller than my husband so I can beat him into submission without wearing heels and getting sore feet... I take it as a bonus *L*

We just recently changed our internet/phone provider to save money and I don't know why we didn't do it sooner!!

  15. I'm pretty sure there's a house with a pool for sale in the cul-de-sac next to ours. We're near the intersection of 91st & Memorial, the subdivision near the Hardesty Library, about a minute from 169, if you're interested. You're in Tulsa, right? Email me if you're wanting to look and I'll drive around, unless you're looking for something better. We're in the Jenks district (which I LOVE!!!).

  16. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Georgie! I know what you mean by cable expenses...I called Comcast a couple of weeks ago to gripe, and ended up getting a cheaper, and better, package.

I'll be thinking of you and your family as your dad starts chemo.

  17. Love Kings of Leon too.

And special prayer for your Dad, Georgie. Sorry to hear that....

  18. Isn't True Blood freakin' awesome? I read the Sookie Stackhouse books before they ever made the show from them, which is True Blood. If you like the show, read the books. They are SOOOO good.

As for Cox. I am so sorry to read this. My hubs has worked for them for ever. He has made a career out of working for them. They have been so awesome. They paid for his schooling for him to move up with the company. I know, atleast in our area, they care so much about making their customers happy. Their high speed is the highest out there. I know if you bundle everything with them, it is not bad at all. We have had every kind of internet service you can imagine, because I work from home and we are both total gamers and internet freaks. I mean this when I say that Cox has been the best, not just because Scott works for the company. Have you tried calling their customer service?

Happy FF! Mine is up too. :o)

Facebook has been great for keeping up with old and new friends and family!

  30. I'm hooked on True Blood too. Debating on weather I should read the books or not? I hear they are good.

  31. Ok, when you said you were going to break out the heels, I thought you were going in a different direction (ie: Kill'em with kindness, and kisses (winkwink)). Life is random like this isn't it? My kids never came in the bathroom with me, it was my 'private time' and only to be disturbed by punishment of death. Rarely was that line crossed. (Other lines? All the time, but not that one:) Praying for your dad, and your kiddos, its not easy for any of them now.

    ReplyDelete
  32. lots of prayers and good thoughts for your daddy! keep us posted.

moody teen has been a bit of a "late bloomer"... waiting for that testosterone to kick in. his 9th grade year was a tough one, but things were much better this last year and he was much more confident and active in hs sports.

oh, and i vote yes to the pool, too. he's just outnumbered now!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kings of Leon Use Somebody! I had to read no further to know you rock. Okay, I did actually read it all :) Happy happy weekend to you and yours.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I will keep your dad in my prayers...what a scary time for you all!!

We've been looking at homes too and I'm totally for a pool but my hubby thinks of every excuse in the book to not have one.

Your daughter picking the lock sounds like something my kids will end up doing someday. Right now, while I'm showering, they walk in to the bathroom and open the shower up and try to have a conversation with me. But of course they give Dad complete privacy. WTF??

  35. Your dad is in my prayers!
Good luck on your house hunt!

  36. How nice! It's the perfect time for home buyers, isn't it? I think you should put your heels on, along with some sexy lingerie, and convince him that way :)

    Will pray for your dad...

  40. Kings of Leon and True Blood - we are so capable of hanging out together! My heart goes out to you and your dad battling cancer. Fight like hell! Maybe you should start scaring your kids instead of them scaring you? :-D Could be fun!

I would love to help you out. Just let me know what I can do!! That would be fun.
