Did you know

Did you know blogger in draft now offers tabs/pages? Yes they do and apparently they have since Jan...I have been a blogger in draft( yes there are 2 different blogger versions-I prefer blogger in draft over the regular version) user since I met deb at postcards from the edge and she helped me make my comments appear under my post instead in a popup window. I ♥ Blogger in draft, now I need my personal blog stylist to help me with tabs because well she rocks and ummm she did my blog and I don't know html which I need to know in this case because I had a blog stylist design the layout...ooooooo amybo where are you?

Blogger Pages lets you to publish static information on stand-alone pages linked from your blog. For example, you can use Pages to create an About This Blog page that discusses the evolution of your blog, or a Contact Me page that provides directions, a phone number, and a map to your location.
You create a page similar to how you write a blog post. From Blogger in Draft click the Posting | Edit Pages tab, then click New Page. (Note: you can create up to 10 pages.)
Once your page is published, you can link to it from the new Pages widget. The Pages widget lets you add links to your pages as tabs at the top of your blog, or as links in your blog's sidebar.
In the Pages widget, you can decide which pages will have links, and in what order they will appear. You can also choose whether or not you want links automatically created for pages when you create them by checking or unchecking the box to the left of Add new Pages by default.
Finally, for those of you that have custom templates, your custom template may not automatically support Pages as horizontal "tabs".

Cool Huh!

  1. One of these days I'm going to get all fancy dancy on my blog!

And I agree about picking your battles. It's only hair...

  2. When you figure all that blogger stuff out, come help me! Pretty please!

    ReplyDelete
  3. How do you tell if you're using blogger in draft or the other version? And Kelly Ripa needs to eat the entire turkey!

  4. I have to agree with you....yes - we do have to pick our battles! It's only hair....they could've peirced some "odd" part of their body or something! LOL!
Dylan (my oldes) is trying to grow is hair out and get the "shag" look....and he's looking for a job i'm like "no one is going to hire you looking like that!" LOL!

  5. I was pretty pissed myself that the Cowboys didn't win either. That little flamer didn't deserve to win. His brother o.t.o.h. I felt deserved it. I was really rooting hard for the Bull Riders.

Schools out ring the bell drop your books and run like hell! See a school zone speed on up, no more 25 mph you cops are out of luck!

My battles these days? Sleep.....and these f&*king migraine headaches....

You're pretty f*&king special yourself Georgie!

  6. "AHHHHHH" is right--no more school. But I only have a Kindergartner, so it really hasn't been that bad. Just looking forward to the sleeping in part! YAY!!

Um--and Kelly Ripa, yeah, don't get me started. I watch Regis & Kelly everyday. I'm beginning to have issues with her. Particularly her clothing choices. She's starting to bug me.

Hope you have a Happy Wednesday!! :)

  7. I love Blogger in Draft but I haven't tried to use all the features yet. I love the three column layout.

I was seriously pissed that the two little pissants won the Amazing Race. I thought the two Okie cowboys showed a lot of class and graciousness during the race. The worst they would ever say was "oh my gravy."

  8. I agree that hair color is usually not a battle worth losing sleep over but they sure do pick some weird colors! :) I color mine (a fairly sedate reddish brown with blonde highlights) too which further seems to limit my right to object.

I wish Jet & Cord would have won too! At least they finished with their class and their character intact. And they surely did make me laugh!

  9. Am I the only one who really loved the brothers winning??? I LOVED them. They played the game really well - so they deserved to win. End of story. The only part I saw with them that I thought was dirty-handed was at the end where they cut in line at the airline counter, but um---it's A MILLION DOLLARS!!!! They may have been annoying at times-I never want to hear the word "bro" again ever-but they played the game really well. And the rest of the teams liked them (minus the cowboys) for the most part. It's a GAME people!!!! Sometimes you have to fight hard to win and if it's a million dollar prize, it is more stupid to NOT fight hard....

    Ugh, done with my rant.

I added in pages to my blog just last week and I love them. I knew about them but never take the time to update anything.

I just changed templates and I also need your guru's help so when you are done with her, please send her my way. Thanks!

Lost=confusing. There is NO way they are going to wrap up all the story lines in two episodes. Jerks.

  10. I need a blog makeover. I love my pike pass. I wish I could die my hair pink and/or purple

  11. I haven't played with the pages thing yet but I've been meaning too.

I dyed my hair green once with food coloring when I was 12. My mother was not nearly awesome as to let that slide like you are. Still, I seem to have recovered from the trauma of not being allowed green hair. So I still remember it almost 20 years later?

  12. Blogger in Draft saved my page!! I get to have my header back!! I can use my angel!! LOVE IT!! and pages... I can have my guestbook up front and my "about me" So Love It.

as a gracious act of kindess, I would like to make a donation. Yes I know so unselfish ogf me. But I really would like to donate 20 pounds to Kelly Ripa. I know I know... I'll get the Nobel Peace Prize or something.

  13. This news about Blogger is so cool. One of the reasons I switched to WP is because I wanted static pages or tabs!

    ReplyDelete
  14. thanks for checking out my blog and my items! What kind of cheerleading stuff were you looking for? I could always try and do something custom! Have a great day!! And yes, Kelly Ripa needs a couple dozen turkey legs!

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's EASY!! I swear. I am html stupid and blogger walked me right through it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ok, I am stupid but what the heck is a Pike Pass?

I agree about the Cowboys. I really wanted them to win. I didn't dislike the brothers but I found them whiny beyond belief.

I didn't like the 3rd place team at all but I loved her comeback to the lesbian team criticism. How sad was it that Caite was asked if she was going to U-turn them because they were gay. I loved her answer "No, they are mean!" So true.

I agree on the battles. My son wore skintight pants for almost a year. Yee gads.

    ReplyDelete
  17. BTW -When the heck do you start school? My son has over a month left!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I wanna dye my hair blue! If only my dad thought "It's only hair."....

    ReplyDelete
  19. I just discovered that I could add pages and added a couple myself. I love that feature. (Still not entirely sure what blogger in draft means though...?)

Yay for school almost being over!!

And oh gosh I am 3 episodes behind on LOST. HAVE to get caught up ASAP!

  20. Girl you ever need help with blogger let me know. More than happy to.

And Lost? What was that? I'm so confused. And when did they find the bodies. It was like all of the sudden...boom...they're in modern day finding the bodies. I'm so confused.

  21. Did you know my husband stole my phone and updated my facebook status?
I can't find phones around here either. I'm the only one that puts them back on the charger.

  22. In reply to your question about Tumble Tower, I think it is age appropriate for my 2-3 year old and up to age 7 girls will enjoy reading it for themselves.

If you are looking for Unique book finds, People have enjoyed the versions of Ramayana for children, an Epic depiction of India's Creation Myth.

And did you know you can catch up on Lost for free on HULU.com? Glee too! (I read your comment from Kellyology)

Love your blog, and thanks for stopping by mine.

  23. I was so bummed that Jet and Cord didn't win. I was OK with Dan and Jordan winning ... UNTIL they pulled that jerky move at the airport (which I thought was totally unnecessary.) And as long as Caite and Brent didn't win!!!

And I love the new Blogger Template Designer ... it is very user friendly and I redid my entire blog last night pretty easily. The longest time was deciding what I wanted to do with my header (though I did that on my own).

  24. I'm not convinced that LOST will answer all the questions that they've led us to believe will be answered.

    Purple streaks? Yikes!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I agree, it's only hair. Pick your battles. At least they aren't tongue piercings and tattoos.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am not sure what blogger in draft is. I am still trying to make your hearts and Kelly Rippa is a turkey, a malnourished turkey.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm laughing at the Kelly Ripa comment! Too funny! She is extremely thin.

The whole blogger draft thing is waaaaay over my head. I'm computer challenged for the most part!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I knew that Blogger in Draft offered pages now. But, like you, I have NO clue how to do anything HTML. I'm going to have to get Kelly or Aubree to set mine up. Plus, I'd like my blog just "cleaned" up.

I'm going to dump blogs from my blog roll that don't return comment love. And, I'm going to start adding ones that do! Hmph!

I think I'm ready for summer too. Although, I don't really look forward to all the fighting that will be going on all.day.long. Ugh!

I was sad the Cowboys didn't win even though I don't even like The Amazing Race. I seriously find nothing entertaining about it. LOL. I just wanted them to win because, A. They are from Oklahoma, B. They are cowboys, C. They are cute.

I watched Lost for the first time last night. Haha! I mean, you can just jump right in at any time because everyone is LOST all the time anyway. Hehe!

  29. 7 more days of school? Color me JEALOUS! We have like 15 I think....well, I might be deducting the one day I'm letting my kids play hookie to go to VA for a cousins graduation...but still, we are in the double digits and you aren't...wah!!!!

Funny you should say that you pick your battles, that it's only hair....I just said this to my Mom yesterday;) LOL

  30. Thanks for stopping by for a visit. You lost me on the blog instructions. I know very little about it. I do good to post what I do. Trust things are going better for you and family.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Did YOU know? I'm jealous! Do you know why?
BECAUSE we have 9 1/2 days with kids and 1
work day. Then SCHOOL'S OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!

    Have a great day!

  32. Did you know... that I love coming to your blog? Because I do.

Don't worry about blue and purple streaks -- hair washes and it grows. It's when they want permanent color tattooed to their bodies that you will have to worry.

    Have a great week!

  33. I did not know that about blogger! Thanks for the info.
And house phones? Please. Don't get me started. Mine run away with our socks.

  34. I know Blogger will do all kinds of things...but I'll be darned if I can figure out how to do them!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Georgie, this is one of the reasons I love my new Wordpress site!! I am almost finished updating my blog list, things are starting to feel like home over there :)
Uhhh... I have three phones too and consider myself lucky if I can EVER find even one!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Glad you are figuring out all this techie stuff for us! Love your the post. But where are you now?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hello I am visiting via Mrs.4444's contest. I am so blogger challenged but determined to figure it all out. I just want a button. I think I have pages too but have no clue what to do with them. I need a kid! I have lots of them I just need one to visit! I hope when you have a chance you will stop by and say hello!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oy! I cannot for the life of me figure out how on earth to get the "pages" at the top. I can do one, but side by side? No. stinking. Clue!

I can never find any of my phones either. I always use the "page phone" button to find them.

And I really need to get the weeds out of my vegetable garden!!

  39. I've been on the couch for four days with a migraine marathon and you're talking about blogger draft and things that make no sense to me on my better days.....

I wish I had as many people interested in my blog as they are in yours, but I rarely have anything of interest to talk about anymore.
