  1. Have you seen the food loot that is collected before boarding the planes? I was amazed at how many people try to bring some interesting food on board. But, play doh??

  2. Unbelievable Georgie! I carried two baby turtles from Jamaica to Barbados in a plastic container in my jacket pocket when I moved there back in the 1990s. Then after one jumped out of his pond and died in Barbados, I brought the remaining one to the US with me via the same route. I love turtles. My son was stopped at security earlier this year for wearing a belt that we bought from Hot Topic with bullets attached. They were not live bullets but that didn't stop them from confiscating a brand new 30 dollar belt which they claimed they were going to throw away. I had no idea it would not be allowed as I would not have allowed him to wear it if I had. What pissed me off was the unpleasant attitude of the custom officer towards my fifteen year old son. He treated him like a criminal and I told him off. After all it was not like he was carrying live turtles.. LOL

  3. Gosh, with all of this I am glad to just drive there. I can carry almost anything I want in my own car.

  4. So how is it that the TSB has no sense of humor? I mean, honestly.

My luggage once spent the night in a bomb shelter because I was returning from a sewing class, and had a ton of leftover spiral steel boning. Must have looked pretty bad on x-ray.

  6. Seriously, Georgie? SERIOUSLY?!? How bizarre.

Of course, I did manage to get a garter snake home in my purse once. Flight from Tulsa to New Orleans, late 80's. We're halfway home before I dig in the purse to show my mom and I couldnt' find it. She starts freaking out, thinking it's gotten loose in the car. No. It found a hole and was in the purse lining.

  8. TSA is a joke. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten through security with bad things in my purse. I have a farm for petes sake, I cannot help it if there are knives in every pocket. almost never do they find them.
