Random Tuesday Thoughts

randomtuesday

RTT is the brain-child of the unmom so if my randomness wasn't enough for ya click over to read more RTT's or to add your own

  • I am feeling really guilty that I am excited that school starts back in 15 days-it's not that I want the beanies out of the house, it's just I want my pc back...just sayin...

  • I thought it was REALLY crappy of ABC to put Jillian through having Reid come back last night-and I just can't tell if her lil sobs are real or not-sorry ABC but I am over the Bach/Ette

  •  So Jess says to me last night 'Mom, I am so Glad my last name is different from Reese's', me with a raised eyebrow 'Oh really?' she continues 'Now I won't be punished for his actions because he was a really bad boy and no one will know he is my brother'  somehow someway I can't help but feeling like I have failed along the way if this is what she is looking forward to for her 6th grade yr.

  • Hells Kitchen is back and I couldn't be happier, after a summer of reruns and crap(Hells kitchen is so not crap) I finally get to see that foul-mouth Gordon Ramsey again and I LOVE it!

  • I know I have only mentioned this elevenity-million times BUT IE8 hates me-it now maximizes my pages to 400% thats BIG peeps really BIG-I don't like change and I never would have d/l'd ie8 except I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing(big surprise there) and I know there are other browsers out there but I just want IE7 back-cuz IE7 was nice to me,we were friendly,we had been together for a long time and didn't make my pages bigger than texas...okay anyone got any cheese to go along with my wine errr whine

  • Abby WhoNowHasABigHayudBecauseSheGotHerLearnersPermit has now informed everyone in our family and a few strangers that she will not drive with me-should I be happy OR offended at her statement...pffft... shes 4months away from being 16 and now knows everything and I'm just some cotton headed ninny muggins...I never thought I would utter these words....Girrrrrl I brought you into this world and I can take you out! BUT it sure felt good when I said it 20 times yesterday, then...she started completeing the phrase before I was finished...I googled shock collars yesterday...

  • Do you know how wierd it is being called Gina-of course you don't your name is prolly Jasmine or Isadore or something really cool and exotic-at my 20 yr reunion I think people thought I was ignoring them because I have been called Georgina/Georgie for 20 yrs now and the name Gina just didn't compute and it took me a minute and then I'm all like 'Ohhhhh you mean me'  I'm giving a whole new meaning to word blond

  • My 6 month old LG Vue just stopped working-so I stole jess's phone-I lost 3/4ths of all my contacts-I don't have any numbers in my phone and I don't know the numbers to put them back in-I went to call my dad the other day and went to my contacts and pressed 'P' for papa george and his name wasn't there-I couldn't remember his number!!!! So if you haven't heard from me in a while could you please call me so I can have your number again-unless of course you are glad you haven't heard from me...in that case you don't have to call

My confession for today: I am thinking it may be time to bring back the confessional-I need to purge

  1. Georgie, you are so funny!! My husband threatens shock collars all the time for our tween!

I'll text you my number today! =)

I loved this season of the The Bachlorette!!! I love that she picked Ed. Although, I would have been just as happy if she'd picked Kiptyn or Reid. All three guys are awesome!

I've been seeing people were uspet about Reid coming back. I can understand that. But, he really loves her and if he hadn't at least tried and asked he would forever wonder 'what if'.

I do think the show could have allowed that to happen NOT on camera! I depise ABC. They are so liberal and don't care about what they do. Them allowing Wes to even be on that show in the first place was just WRONG!!! Ugh!

    Off my soapbox now! LOL!

  2. Deep freezers are the way to go with know-it-all teens. Not that I've ever done that or anything ...

Oh, and I'm liking the Google Chrome browser. It's why I can actually comment on your blog now.

  3. I can't wait for the Hell's Kitchen throwdown tonight! And The Bachelor/ette has become such a farce.

  4. "cotton headed ninny muggins" WTF is that? LOL

  5. Hmmm I'd call you with my number but I never had your number to begin with so yeah um, no can do. Sorry.

Kids can suck, but rather than threaten her life, you can hold the sword of Damaclese over her head and remind her that you can take away her driving priveldges as easily as she got them. Need details, just ask, I had to do it to one of my kids and she still speaks to me unlike her schmucky brother.

  6. I love Gordan Ramsey (if he's the guy I'm thinking of.) Australian bloke? Used to do Knock Knock Dinners on food network?

If not...I have no idea who you mean.
    Love the blond moment, lol!

  7. Ok, now I've had a good laugh for the day. Poor Bean, she's no clue what she's in for with Momma. I've heard my Momma tell me about bringing me in and taking me out enough that when I hear it, I cringe.

  8. I can't wait until school starts and I have 36 days (I'm just sayin'). I love Hell's Kitchen. I am dreading the teens. I have a 10 year old who thinks she knows everything.

    Fun RTT.

  9. School starting back up and Gordon Ramsey makes a girl just swoon!

  10. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I think it's ok that your daughter likes not being the bad boy's younger sister - that means she wants to be good. or wants to establish her own level of bad. AND i see that you are from oklahoma - i live in tulsa! yay.

  11. I don't want teenagers. Is there a way to jump them from the sweet little kid years straight to the true you-really-do-know-more-than-me grown up years. Or will it seems like it goes that fast anyway.

  12. I think your blog title is awesome! I feel that way A LOT.
I remember when I had my permit and felt like the world was mine and my mother was holding me back. Now I understand exactly what she was going through with me. Not that I'll ever tell her that..

  13. Its a random thought process at my place as well! LOL

  14. seems as though you are having some coding issues...easy to fix though. :) bloggerU is a good place to get answers, and I'd also be willing to take a look at your code if you'd like.

  15. I am with you on the whole Jillian/Reid thing...ABC is not above pulling out all the stops to ensure maximum drama...it doesn't seem to matter who it hurts in the process.

  16. I never liked the bachelorette or bachelor just a bunch of desperate people that very seldom end up staying together...lol But you had me at GORDON RAMSEY!! I might be persuaded to part of one of those shows for him. Phwooooaaah!! He's scrumptious and I love him in the kitchen!!! Go on Gordon talk dirty to me luv!!! Ooo I've undercooked some chicken Gordon I I think I need a scolding..lol

  17. I don't usually watch television, so this bachelorette thing you all keep talking abut makes me laugh.. i was commenting on another post that there is inevitably unnecessary and annoying drama associated..which makes for good t.v.. but i am dealing with enough crazy women that want to get married, in my own life! haha.

WHY in the world would you use IE8 if it hats you.. why would you use IE at all? Firefox is the ONLY way to go for PC browsing.. I promise it will sort out alot of whatever issues you may have.

As for LG.. I had never owned a phone that they made that didn't crap out on me in less than a year..and so I have not ever bought another phone of theirs.. for the last 10 years..and subsequently I will not buy their products!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope to see you over at Splitting Tens more often! Se you on the next post :)

  18. Okay, I'm ashamed to say that I didn't read all the comments, so if someone already said this, I apologize for the repeat. I know there are software programs (such as http://www.webgrrls.com/blog/2008/02/15/install-multiple-versions-of-ie-browser-on-your-pc/) that allow you to run more than one IE version on the same PC. Pretty nifty. Not sure how it works with IE8, but it's worth a shot. I haven't upgraded....I hated myself for upgrading to IE7 for months! I'm a firefox girl, though.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, btw. :)

  19. My 16 yr old has informed me that she is a perfect driver when I am not in the car, she only runs stop lights and stop signs because I make her nervous. Personally, I think she is full of sh*t! But, I am the dumb one and she knows everything about everything. Or so she likes to think!

  20. I love when school starts... in fact, I think it should be mandatory year round - it's not like they need to harvest crops or something - sheesh! Gordon Ramsey - oh, yeah, I'd put him on my "to do" list. Teens? Driving? Mine is 17. Trust me - you just might HAVE to take her out. Keep that option open.

    ReplyDelete
  21. You are hilarious! Cotton headed ninny muggins! lol!

I love Gordon Ramsey too...oh yeah..

My daughter is only 6, but already talks about getting her license...oy!

  22. My mom spent the weekend in Whistler and was all excited to take her picture in front of the Hell's Kitchen restaurant.

  23. I hate Gordon Ramsey, I would beat the shit out of him if I was on that show! You should use Firefox, it works much better!

  24. Some fun RTT :D

My 5 yr old starts Kindergarten & I thought I'd be sad. Nope - I'm counting the days (not that I'd admit this to my family).

DH is totally addicted to Hell's Kitchen & is 1 happy guy too

  25. I love your RTT today. I dread when my teen starts driving... I think I will make sure I am off the road. I didn't know Hell's Kitchen was on. I have so wanted to watch it. I wish my kids started school in 15 days. I have a whole nother month yet.

    ReplyDelete
  26. You should not feel guilty for wanting school to start. I'm sure you have the kiddo's best interest in mind, right?

As for the new driver - SHEESH! I'm sure I was like that with my mom.

  27. We're trying to get a posse to go to blogher in 2010. are you in?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Firefox, dude. IE has a hate-on for Blogger.

    "cotton headed ginny muggins"?? Bwahhahhaha!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I can rent you my e-collars, but only until Sept 1 hunting season opens then, my dear!

Did you know I've been in OKC twice in the last month?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love Hell's Kitchen too, in our household I am the only one who likes it, cause they say the language is too vulgar! :D

LOL @ "Girrrrrl I brought you into this world and I can take you out!" -- in about 10 years I'll be saying that too! LOL

I hate IE and IE hates me! Try Firefox, it's better than IE! :D

    Happy Tuesday! :D

  31. Firefox is awesome, try that.

I was peeved that they let Reid come back but LOVED how Chris Harrison handled it.

Wonder who the bachelor will be. Reid or Kiptyn? My money is on Wes. HAHAHAHAHA!

  32. Hey Georgie---

You are sooooo funny. I love it!
Take a deep breath and wait--things change
    constantly.

  33. Hi Georgie! You visited me and now I'm here! I loved this post and got a couple of good giggles out of it. I think I shall now follow and come back time and time again!

Do yourself a HUGE favor and download Mozilla's Firefox. It is SO much better than IE. I can't even begin to tell you.

    Justine :o )

  34. I work at my kids' school, so when they go back, I go back. I am NOT looking forward to it. At all.

  35. Speaking of being over the Bachelor - which I was during the last Bachelor - I watched More to Love last night. Basically boils down to the Bachelor for Big Boneded chicks. I was sort of excited about it thinking for sure that these women would not act as stupid as the skinny biotches do. I was WRONG. Equally as embarrasing. I would last about 10 minutes in a house like that before I starts making people cry.

    ReplyDelete
  36. that is pretty funny wanting your computer back!

  37. Hi Georgie,

Thanks for checking out my blog. I hate it when people still call my Missy, so I know how you feel. What gets me is when they call me Michelle even though my name is Melissa. Who knows?

    ReplyDelete
  38. My whole life feels like a random Tuesday thought sometimes. LOL

What is it about teens and driver's license? I can't tell you the number of times conversations come up at work about 10th grade students and their attitudes. They get their license and that extra bit of freedom, and suddenly, they are IT. And if you don't believe me, ask one of them. hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  39. Love the randomness. And Gordon R. is like watching a train wreck..Can't really tear away from it, but oh, it hurts to watch. LOL.
