*disclaimer* Lotsa pictures ahead...
We arrive at the airport 1hr and 48 mins before our 10:05 departure only to be told our plane is broke and takeoff will be at least a 2 hour delay...almost 4 hours of waiting, 4 hours for me to try and convince Eric we should just rent a car and drive to Arizona, 4 hours of the beanies saying 'this sucks', 4 hours of Jess writing me notes saying that the person sitting across from us looks suspicious(He was a 78 yr old Grandpa-IN A WHEEL CHAIR), 4 hours of 'is that our plane?', 4 hours for me to realize everything I forgot...
Our plane eventually arrives...
I only minorly bruised Abby's arm-she held my hand the whole way, Jess fell asleep(she is very much like her mama-NOT A FAN OF FLYING), the guys set across the aisle and whispered and pointed at me-but Karma would be in place that day-Reese was seated next to a lovely Grandma and her lil Grand-baby and that lil Grand-baby threw up all over Reese-that'll teach him to poke fun at his mama...
We arrive at PHX Sky Harbor to get our rental car-I am NOT impressed with Thrifty's counter help-thats all I'm saying...rude Ever try and fit 5 people with 5 pieces of luggage in a teeny tiny PT cruiser
She did not drive-this was a potty brake time and she slide right into the drivers seat-I am not ready for Abby to start driving!!!
I'm to sexy for shirt so sexy it hurts...I dunno whats worse BOYS going through puberty OR girls going through puberty!
We had a wonderful visit with my Great Uncle Tex and his Lady friend Ann
Then we checked into the Holiday Inn Express-very roomy and comfortable room and apparently the party place in Sierra Vista-I took the beanies to the pool Saturday night to find a ton of 20 somethings drinking(I have nothing against drinking) swimming in their bras, panties and under roos(I have nothing against bras, panties or under roos) but they were acting like fools and my girls didnt need to see all the guys 'junk' and Reese didn't need to know what a brazilian bikini wax looked like...
Sunday we took the beanies to visit Tombstone-They enjoyed the town-here are a few pics
She really knows how to handle a gun
I had to make them cover up the lil saying where abby's hands are-cuz it said something like "I got LAYED in Big Nose Kates saloon" and while I have nothing against someone getting layed-just NOT my daughter
We left very early Monday morning to head to Phoenix to return our rental-did ya'll know heading to the PHX airport there are 6 lanes ON ONE SIDE!!!! I will NOT be driving in,near or around Phoenix anytime soon ever again...and I apologize to anyone who encountered me in my new white expedition on the I-10 Monday morning-
I am having issues with my SD card(I used 3) I have 2 more sets of pics of our trip that I can't get to upload-I am only minorly freaking out as they are the majority of our trip...once I have the issue resolved I will post more...

ReplyDeleteOMG! Phoenix is crazee. My Father in law lives there.... and you have to understand, I'm from a teeny weeny town in Tx...and when my hubby decided it was a good idea for us to move there shortly after marrying...I lasted 3 months. I only drove on the free way once in those 3 months--and well-- I'm still a little scarred.
ReplyDeleteOh, your vacay looks fun! :) I do enjoy visitin phoenix and the rest of arizona... Grand Canyon is better than expected, I'd have to agree...I wasn't pumped to go...but was glad that I did too.
