Friday Fragments

It's Friday-YAY! I haven't played along with Friday Fragments in a long time and since that's all I seem to be as of late...one big walking fragment, I'm joining in today...a quick disclaimer to my wonderful male readers you may wanna skip over the first 2 fragments-of course saying that just prolly made you wanna read them all the more...but you were warned...just sayin...

♥ I have 2 daughters they are the joys of my life except the week prior to a certain time of the month. I mean I can barely tolerate ME a week before a certain time of the month. Factor in those two and it is a cat fight that could rival Uma Thurman and Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill Volume 2). Only thing missing is a black mamba snake.

♥ Let's talk leggins... yanno those thicker than tights,footless,typically made of lycra and oh so comfy attire? Well I own a pair, I love them...one of my childrens, who shall remain nameless, says to me... hey MOM nineteen eighty called they want their clothes back...REMIND me to NEVER wear certain articles of clothing during a certain teenagers time of the month! VICIOUS I tell you....cycles that is, not one of my oh so sweet daughters...


♥ My son recently attended a Church man retreat for a weekend, a cool rainy weekend-that he under packed for-wouldn't listen to me when I offered helpful advice about long sleeves and trash bags, he came home soaking wet,exhausted and covered in poison ivy...but it was worth it, he has been the kindest, most polite, charming young man. It is like I have a different child. I had considered sending him to military school or signing him up to be on the show Worlds Strictest Parents. But now I have the youth Pastor on speed dial... who knew all I needed to do was drop him off in the middle of nowhere, when rain is forecasted with a bunch of 7th-12th graders to get him to realize his status on the totem pole...


♥ So much has happened over the past month I forgot to shamelessly brag that my Abby made the BA Varsity cheer squad for the 2010-2011 school year. So let me take a moment and say Abs we are so PROUD of you, we may have to take out a second mortgage, sell my car and start riding bikes,eat more ramen to pay for this year of cheer but dagnabit it will all be worth it watching you cheer from outside the gates during Friday night lights...I kid I kid Love you Abby *RAH*


♥ My Grandma aka Ena got a hearing aide,she fought it, said she didn't need no stinkin' hearing aide. She has complete hearing loss in one ear and the other ear needed a hearing aide and let me tell you just one reason why...I lost my ena in wal*mart one day, I only turned around for a second then *POOF* she was gone. Jess and I split up walking around the store calling out her name Ena, Enaaaa, ENAAAAA....all I could think was great my family will never forgive me for loosing our Grandmother-it didn't matter that some little 4 year old in the bra and panty section was mocking me by saying Ena Ena or that people were giving me strange looks...so I do what any good grand daughter would do... walk up to customer service and beg them to issue a code Adam, they looked at me like I was crazy but srsly I had visions of her wandering around the parking lot with her cart of stolen groceries and I didn't have bail money...They offered to page her over the loud speaker...Elvira, Elvira Shirley please come to the CS desk your party is waiting...she never came....My cell phone rings and Jess says she has her cornered in the automotive department...I rush back there Thankful we found her and ask her what she is doing in automotive....HUH? she couldn't hear me...I told her we had been paging her over the loud speaker...HUH? she says...when my heart rate returned to normal I very loudly said WHY ARE YOU IN AUTOMOTIVE...her reply...I'm looking for elastic I have a pair of pants that are too big and I am going to put in some elastic...

♥ Just call me Mrs Robinson...I have a serious crush on Jason Ritter...

Oh Yeah it's Friday which means it's Friday Fragment time...

I had to get glasses, as if the wrinkles,dark circles under my eyes, and hot flashes weren't already enough to remind me that I'm not in my twenties anymore, I now proudly sport these

Eric laughed at me...he said I picked out grandpa glasses...what, are we like 11? AND this coming from a man who wears the goofiest nineteen seventies glasses evah...pffft

A friend of Abby's committed suicide last Friday, his funeral was yesterday...the loss of this young man has left me reeling...Parents PLEASE talk to your tweens and teens-Suicide is NEVER the answer...

Speaking of Abby she has had her drivers license for almost 2 weeks now, it is just so surreal to me, that I have a child that is driving...chalk that one up to making me feel older too...

Have ya'll been to urban dictionary? It has been going around on FaceBook... Well against my better judgment  I went and typed in my name and it told me this:

A beautiful name,(an angel from above) a fantastic name for a girl, Especially when a special someone is amazing in so many ways, kind in heart and soul, but most of all a smile that lights up a dull and dark room. Beautiful in every way.

I was all like awww I have a nice name then I continued to read-which I don't advise you to read past the first definition of your name if you visit urban dictionary because it went on to tell me this...

First there is town called georgina-not so bad...

Then it told me...

Friday Fragments

Hey Ya'll it's FRIDAY unless you live in Australia I think they are 13 or 14 hours ahead of us, the whole time zone and DST thing just amazes me...but then again I am easily amused, anyways...

Today is the last day of the semester and that means no school for 2 weeks-this makes me very happy, no alarms, no carpools, no I need lunch money, no homework...ahhhhh

The other night Jess was watching TV and she looks over at me and says...'Hey Mom, did you know it is 2 dimes past 9?' Since I am now a brunette I caught on very quickly didn't even have to think about what she meant...

In other Jess news-that girl can't keep a secret, seriously, UNLESS it involves me, Eric has planned a lil dinner party for me tonight and I have no idea where they are taking me, so I ask the blabber-mouth and I tell you what, that girl ain't spillin the beans...I said BUT Honey I need to know what to wear and the lil smarty-pants said...I will pick out your clothes! pffft

Reese, yanno the 'other' man in my life, he is 14, we went out to dinner this week he ate a HUGE meal, then we no sooner walked in the door that he grabbed a new box of cereal, the new gallon of milk I had just bought and the bowl that goes to my NOT kitchen-aide mixer(but it is big none-the-less) and headed to his room-I kid you not, he ate the entire box of cereal and almost ALL the milk inonesittingaftercominghomefromeatingout! I can't afford him anymore! BOY 4 Sale!

Saturday we will start our first round of Christmas at my MILs she has asked me to bring dip and while I have a lot of dip recipes in my head none are just jumping out at me...I am considering making this recipe BUT would love some ideas from you...so tell me your favorite dip recipe Please, help a sistah out...if you haven't noticed I like easy and quick...

3-8oz pkg cream cheese(bring to room temperature)

1 stick butter(I like land’o lakes, again bring to room temp)

cream both together

add:

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 pkg Hidden valley ranch dip mix

Mix well and put in a shallow dish. Top with Cracked pepper and allow to chill for at least few hours so the flavors are absorbed. Serve at room temp with pretzels OR slice a french baguette and toast the slices, then spread over the bread

Friday Fragments

Is it Friday already? I am not sure where this week went, but it's gone baby gone...So I will attempt to recap my unproductive week, Fragment style

* I had a dream that the Pioneer Woman and myself were besties...not sure where that came from, she doesn't even know I exsist

* Most of the week was spent with me in bed, I have been sick sick sick, not the flu or swine flu, just aches, chills and a cough that would give any smoker a run for their money-Nyquil has become my best friend...hmmmm maybe that's why I have been having some funky dreams...

* Jess gave Abby 'The NUB' award, I don't know what a NUB is but the award was pretty and sparkly, Abby didn't think it was as funny as the rest of us

* While pruning my rose bush, with scissors-my pruning sheers were MIA, I almost cut off my index finger, it was a bloddy mess, I blame the nyquil

* Did you know there was an official Call of Duty-World at War skip-day for 9th graders around the world on Wednesday? Reese told me on Monday he was pretty sure he would be sick 'like me' on Wednesday, he said 'he could feel it coming on' My son may or may not have participated (COD is a Xbox game)

* Jess had over 500 texts on her cell phone...we don't have a texting plan...I had over a 100 and I don't text, the majority of mine were incoming from the childrens, so I didn't get grounded

* I REALLY want a cat...just sayin...

* On Dec 20th I will be attending my first concert in over 20 yrs...I some how got ram-roded into taking Abs and 2 friends to see Justin Bieber-I like JB, I don't like crowds or hoards of screaming teeny boppers

* Abby had her Sweet Sixteen party Thursday night-it was lovely, she was lovely, her friends were lovely, all 16 of them (kinda fitting, sweet 16 party and 16 friends came) and  I only had one lovely minor freak out in the privacy of my bedroom and that was when I was told the X factor was bringing HIS X factor...  here are a few pix from her night-you can see them all on FB

Friday Fragments & VGNO

If you are looking for the SSS info click here-it is the 'official' SSS 411 and if you plan on joining us this year-I hope you will take the time to read it as we are doing things a little differently.

Normal is so over-rated...I now give you the reality that IS my life and my mind as of late...I guess I can call it, the Wal*Mart parking lot edition that happened in one day...

While trying to catch a catnap waiting in the car in the wal-mart parking lot while Abby ran in, I noticed several things:

1) Some 40 something male perv (yes I know that word is so very judgemental of me-I have already asked for forgivness) breaking his neck for a look at my almost 16 yr old and since I am not in my right mind, sleep deprivation does strange things to you, I yelled from my open window...

'SHE'S 15 YOU PERV' then I slid down in my seat

2) Once I declared it was safe to sit up I watched as the cart rally guys gathered up the carts that were left all over the parking lot, narrowly missing parked cars because they(the cart rally guys) were apparently 'over-compensating' as the stacks of carts they pushed grew and grew, the whole mentality of mines bigger than yours...

3) I noticed some lace laden handcuffs hanging from someones SUV rearview  mirror, then I wondered if the person that drove the car had kids and how on earth they explained something like that to them...then since the cuffs were hanging in the car I hoped they had lysol, and again since the cuffs were hanging in the car I could only imagine what their bedroom looked like...then I secretly hoped they would come out of wal*mart before Abby so I could see who the person was, then I laughed at me for being nosey

4) I saw a mom come out of my local small*mart and she had 6 girls, S-I-X ( I can barely handle the 2 I have, I just can't fathom 6), they were all so sweet, holding hands and hanging on the cart, helping each other-so unlike my own childrens,  I could feel the love from across the parking lot, I contemplated asking her what kind of drugs she gave them...but I was affraid she would think I was junkie since I was bra-less,had wild hair and dark circles under my eyes...

 I immediately thought of Jess and this 'phase' she is going through-I say phase because it better be or you all will be seeing my mug flashed across your nightly news. Her phase is driving me insane, leaving me to question my stellar parenting skills or lack thereof depending on the day.

Simply put, I forgot it was her Birthday and have been paying the price for being the worlds worst mother-you all have done that right? RIGHT! Lie to me for petes sake, PLEASE. Well all the days leading up to her big day I kept saying I need to get a card, I need to do this, do that, then Tuesday rolls around and she is leaving for school and she says So I Guess NO ONE meaning me is going to tell me Happy Birthday!

It doesn't matter to a 12 yr old that you have spent 10 days straight at a hospital and there was no exscuse I could offer, I SUCK! So... Oh you want your ear cartlidge pierced-sure hunny(seriously she got her ear cartlidge pierced), you wanna take all your money out of savings and blow it on skittles and air heads-no problem(I can not confirm or deny this one), You want me to rub your stinky feet-I LIVE to rub your feet baby, YES I swear YOU are my favorite!

Where was I...ah yes, the parking lot...

5) I 'hear' some 20 something male talking loudly on his cell about how he got pulled over and he didn't have a drivers lic yada yada yada, he is just walking back in forth in the lot talking as if the person on the other end of the phone has a hearing aide, then out comes my Abby and out comes his neck crooning and this time instead of yelling and sliding, I stared at him as she walked to the car, I slid my sunglasses down so he could see me in all my bra.less.wild.hair.scary.dark.under.eye.circle.glory.giving.him.my.stink.eye, then I opened my car door all the while making eye contact with him-staring him down, I was fully prepared to chase him down, tackle him and personally show him the 'Exorcist' head turn while penning his hands behind his back with my knees and possibly spew some green vomit for good measure just to make sure he thinks twice the next time his eyes get the better of him...just keepin it real

It's Friday and I am taking my first day off in 11 days from my home away from home, St Francis, in just 2 short weeks Abby and Jess have managed to rack up between them 1 F, 3 Ds and 4 Cs, my attendance is required at their schools today, my family wants their mom/wife back. Everyone except Jess  wants my nose in their bidness again.

Abby has started leaving me notes saying things like:

momo I need to talk to you
momo I need lunch money
momo I cried today
momo 6 girls got cheer demerits but I wasn't one of them *YAY ME*
I am not sure why she calls me 'momo' but I like it

Jess has also left me a few notes:

GEORGINA I am soooooo mad at you
Gina can I go to Church with Julianna on Wed
Georgie I am still mad at you
Gina I need lunch money
Georgina  MOM GINA yep still mad
I have no idea why she calls me by my first name and the variations of it but I don't like it, but she is 12 and quite frankly scares the crap out of me at times...just sayin

Reese, well, he sent me a text: because REAL men don't leave notes and I don't even text-Eric reminds me constantly that I just cost him 10cents-men

Yo I need lunch money

It's finally Friday, I'm free again, I got my motor running for a fun weekend and to kick it off is Friday Fragments

• We have been house hunting-I enjoy house hunting-I know what I want-besides 4-5 bedrooms at least 2 1/2 baths the main thing is a POOL, Eric and I are not seeing eye to eye on this....it's time to break out the big guns...yanno my heels...I can wear one so we are eye level and beat him into submission with the other...what? I am so not above Physical abuse...it can be very effective...or so I hear...

• Kings of Leon-I♥ this band and I ♥ the song, Use Somebody

• My Daddy could use your thoughts and prayers-they found a small mass on his lungs-the type of Cancer he had removed then underwent chemo for last year, IF it spreads...it's to your lungs, he has a scan scheduled for Monday, to determine what the mass is-Please keep him in your thoughts...

• I have nosey childrens-I have declared this house a 'Need to know' Zone...I will decide IF you need to know...seriously you know it's bad when your taking a shower and throw back the curtian grab a towel and see your youngest child and your dog sitting on the toilet, scaring the bejeezies out of you waiting for you to get out...yes I locked the door...she picked the lock!

• Eric brought me home a Black Diamond Watermelon-My very most favorite...Dear colon: I am sorry...my colon hates me right now

• I talked to my cousin Amy(who I reconnected with on FB) on the phone the other night, we haven't talked in probably over 25 yrs or better, but you would never know it, my mom is planning a lil family get together in Oct and I am so excited to see my cousins Amy,Shirl,Cindy and Lee and their families...

• Dear Cox Cable: I am about to break up with you, $45 for your so called high speed internet...pffft $40 for a landline with NO long distance pffft, I have been a customer since 1990-it's to early for math BUT I know that's a REALLY long time...I need suggestions-who does everyone use? I am considering AT&T

• In the next month I will be gearing up for the Secret Santa Soiree...I.Will.Need.Help anyone wanna offer their time and deal with me for 3 months, before I start physically calling you out on my blog and dropping hints *cough* AMYBO *cough* I may need 2 wonderful helpers this year *cough* DEB *cough*

• Reese just quit football...I am sad for him...sad that he is the youngest and smallest and didn't feel like he measured up against the other boys in his grade...9th grade is such a pivotal time, I remember it well...

• I really like FF because it lets me feel normal about being scatter-brained

• Today is my friend Dana's Birthday- she is turning...well it's not polite to tell a ladies age but I think she knows Rosetta Stone(i kid i kid)...so please consider clicking her name and wishing her a Happy Birthday-it will make her day!

• Jess likes to forage through Reeses' room when he is gone-typically I don't condone this type of snoopy behavior BUT better her than me cuz that boy is in PHEW-BURRR-TEEEE so I try and stay away from him for fear he will put a hex on me or show me his arm pit hairs...anyways I had a point, ah yes foraging-she found his ipod touch and turned it on and the next thing I hear is 'O.M.G. MOMMMMMMMMMM' (cuz thats what she says) Look at this MOMMMMM- Reese has PORN on his ipod touch MOM! Who knew youtube had porn? And IF you knew why didn't you warn me?

• I have some really exciting news...I get to go school supply shopping!!! YAY me...open letter to all middle and HS teachers-would it be to much to ask that you PLEASE place a supply list outside your door on schedule pick up day-cuz nothing says back-to-school-supply-shopping like getting elbowed in the face while fighting over the LAST 2in' binder in the crammed isles of wal*mart the day after school starts...or the fact that I may need to take out a second mortage to buy that scientific calculator that will get lost the thrid week of school...man I almost miss elementary school-those teachers have their stuff together...

• In other exciting news Jess has moved back into her own bed-Don't judge me or call me Michael Jackson

• Abby is already planning her sweet 16 party and apparently she thinks I am a Hilton...I am seriously considering canceling cable because I BLAME this all on MTV

• I had a complete meltdown the other day-abby,jess or reese are plotting against me...they lost my tweezers and I had to go to the mall... with chin hairs...CHIN HAIRS people, I am pretty sure the guy at lilcrombie was so totally hitting on me

• I just had to google tweezers because I typed it twezzers and it just didn't look right, blogger in draft so needs spell check!

• Yanno my new car? well not new,new but new to me, the one I just got-well Eric took her(her as in Abby not the car) driving, remember she won't drive with me...well in all her knowitallglory she forgot to roll up one of the windows...it rained...A LOT...

• We went to eat at a new chinese restaurant the other night(i am not a big fan of chinese food-but thats another post) and they had placemats-placemats of the chinese astrology...apparently I am a dog AND I'm selfish...

• Lastly I just noticed that on blogspot blogs there is a follow feature at the top of the page...so even if you don't have the follower function on your blog I can still STALK YOU

Whats up with adult acne? I am friggin 38, I did my time when I was teen...I swear, I will look at one of the beans and see a pimple, then the next morning I will wake up with a giant honker...is this like sympathy pimples?

To the mom in the ford edge who dropped her son off at school with his shorts on backwards, then when the son realized and walked back to the car and you motioned him back in to fix his backwards shorts holding up the drop off line, once his shorts were finally on correct and he is out of the car you continue to have a conversation with him...THANK.YOU.VERY.MUCH! Thats 10 minutes of my life I will never get back...I always check tags before we leave for school...

I was watching the news the other night...yanno Chelsea Lately on E!(hey it's where I get my news)...well she informed me that one of the housewives of NYC, the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is getting divorced, her husband told her via email(That Sucks-no really THAT SUCKS)but still... Jill Zarin is my FAV housewife EVAH! Jill is classy and to the point-I just ♥ her...However don't even get me started on Ramona, and then there is Kelly the new girl recently arrested for beating up her boyfriend...TRAIN WRECK that I can't turn away from, I love it...can't wait till the Jersey Girls hit the scene I♥Bravo! In case you wondered I'm Team Jill...

To the lil guy who works at Game Crazy-Thanks for trying to scare the crap out of us in to buying the extended warranty on the DSi by saying that already today 3 people have broke their DSi's- and for assuming my bean doesn't take care of his gaming systems, did we not just turn in a DS for $90 in CREDIT in IMMACULATE condition in WHITE and does the 'i' really make it that much more fragile? Maybe NINTENDO would like for me to review some of their products... I so understand you work on commission but do you really have to use car saleman like tactics on 13 yr old beans? no offense meant to car salesmen or their wifes I'm just sayin....

I subbed a lot this week...I like money, I need money and I discovered it doesn't grow on a tree in my backyard...On Tuesday I was in a co-taught classroom and was basically told to sit down and shut up by the co-teacher...nobody puts baby in a corner so I turned in my keys and left.

Then I subbed for Spanish II and I was Senora Georgie even though I failed Spanish I took the job- the teacher left worksheets(busy work) in one glorious day I became 'The BEST Sub EVER' the trick, I made a deal with the hellions students-they could sit with their friends and listen to their ipods as long as they did their work-they agreed it was a fair trade...oldest bean is still getting texts about how cool her mom is...Good thing I wasn't 'Fraggin' it could have been a whole nother outcome...

We shopped for jewerly,handbags and hair-cessories for oldest beans formal on Sat-we had to buy 2 sets because oldest bean didn't know if she wanted rhinestone-esque jewels or simple black jewelry. She is getting nails and toes done tonight and a spray tan so she doesn't look pasty-I have decided I can no longer afford her.

I can not wait till lilest bean NO longer goes to elementary school-the drop off lane Nazis are PSYCHO-because I was in the wrong lane one of them chased my car out of the parking lot screaming at me-I just waved at her-I have since informed lilest bean that she will have to get out at the crosswalk and that I need to borrow her Hannah Montana wig

We have been planning our summer vacation-it has changed 6 times already and will prolly change 10 more times before June...I told ena about our plans and she invited herself to go with us...this should be fun...

We are being 'investigated' by the IRS and the whole 'I got people' is a sham! I do not like H&R Block right now.
